Storage warehouse requiring concrete screed overlay using the
Bekaert (Dramix) steel fiber concrete reinforcement.
Project Duration - 9th May 2003
Project Size - 2400m2
Existing Conditions - Forklift test track laid to falls
and with a brush finish.
Stages - There were 6 Stages
Stage 1 - Preparation (Protection of internal finished block
work. Setting of levels and fitting isolation material around
walls and columns. Placing of road former with dowel bars
inserted.)
Stage 2 - Addition of super-plasticiser and steel fibre
reinforcement to back off mixing truck. Checking off slump and
fibre count/distribution.
Stage 3 - Placement of concrete using Somero S240 laser
screed.
Stage 4 - Application of the Permaban shake-top hardener
(light grey)
Stage 5 - Power trowel concrete and application of spray on
acrylic sealer.
Stage 6 - Saw cutting
