Johnston's Transport, Armagh
New retail outlet, requiring a steel fibre
reinforced concrete slab on piles with coloured shake on
hardener.
Project Duration - 320th August - 21st August 2003
Project Size - 3500m2
Existing Conditions - Piled ground
Stages - There were 6 Stages
Stage 1 - Preparation (Protection of internal finished
block work. Setting of levels and fitting isolation material
around walls and columns.)
Stage 2 - Addition of super-plasticiser and steel fibre
reinforcement to back off mixing truck. Checking off slump and
fibre count/distribution.
Stage 3 - Placement of concrete using Somero S240 laser
screed.
Stage 4 - Application of the Permaban shake-top hardener
using mechanical spreader. (light grey)
Stage 5 - Power trowel concrete and application of spray
on acrylic sealer.
Stage 6 - Saw cutting
