Hanlon Transport, Dundalk
An existing large storage facility requiring a
steel fibre reinforced concrete slab on piles, which
achieved FM2 Special category by FACE Consultants
Project Duration - 26th February - 26th February 2004
Project Size - 2200m2 (Completed in 1 day)
Existing Conditions - Piled ground
Stages - There were 6 Stages
Stage 1 - Preparation (Protection of internal finished
block work. Setting of levels and fitting isolation material
around walls and columns.)
Stage 2 - Addition of super-plasticiser and steel fibre
reinforcement to back off mixing truck. Checking off slump and
fibre count/distribution.
Stage 3 - Placement of concrete using our Somero S240 laser
screed.
Stage 4 - Power trowel concrete and application of spray
on acrylic sealer.
Stage 5 - Saw cutting
Stage 6 - Flatness survey carried out by FACE
Consultants - Project achieved FM2
